Giresun University Augmented Reality Research and Application Center

The research center has built in Giresun University is the first in our country and also in the Middle East region. There are similar centers in many countries like Canada, USA, Holland, Sweden, Finland, Australia, Austria, and Italy.

The Aim of the Center

To conduct scientific studies in the field of augmented reality at international level. In parallel to this aim, our sub-purposes are;

To provide develop and establish coordination in relations among research laboratories and similar units with all kinds of tools, devices available in the university and to provide opportunities of R&D usable for interfacilities.

To assist the university members during their working in an appropriate place and to increase the quality of scientific activities and academic studies in the university.

To update hardware and software of the laboratories according to technological developments and increase the project execution potential of the university

To provide the production of common scientific and technological interdisciplinary projects with public and private persons and organizations

To prepare the working environment collaborating on the issue of R&D with domestic and international universities, research institutions, and organizations for execution projects which supported by related organizations and universities in Turkey and EU

To strengthen the cooperation among the university, private sector and industry

To conduct any other studies in parallel to the aim of the center

Activity Fields of the Center

To design and evaluate projects which come from the university, R&Ds, industry, public institutions and organizations and third parties for a fee

To work in order to bring about accreditation of center

To serve certain issues like scientific opinion, consultancy, etc. and report about these services

To work on scientific and technological infrastructure for the center serving as a technocity

To organize training seminars, conferences and scientific meetings

To work on any other studies in parallel to the aim of the center
